Cowboy schedule finalized

The 2009-10 University of Wyoming Cowboy basketball schedule was finalized Wednesday, as the details for three Cowboy road games were announced. Those games include trips to Tennessee, Northern Iowa and New Mexico.

Wyoming will travel to Knoxville, Tenn. on Dec. 15 to take on Tennessee. The game time was recently set for 5 p.m. (Mountain Time) and it was announced that ESPN U will televise the game. ESPN U is available on both DIRECTV (channel 609) and Dish Network (channel 148). Cable subscribers should check with their local providers for ESPN U availability.

Just before Christmas on Dec. 23, the Cowboys will travel to Cedar Falls, Iowa, to participate in the inaugural Mountain West/Missouri Valley Conference Challenge. The Pokes will face Northern Iowa at 6 p.m. (MT) from UNI’s McLeod Center.

Finally, the final details for UW’s trip to Albuquerque, N.M. were announced. The Cowboys will face the New Mexico Lobos on Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. (MT). That game will be televised nationally on CBS College Sports HD.

In all, 16 of Wyoming’s regular season games will be televised. The Mtn. will broadcast 13 games, while UW will play one game each on VERSUS, CBS C HD and ESPN U.

The Cowboys will open the 2009-10 season on Nov. 7, as they host Regis in an exhibition game. The Pokes will open the regular season on Nov. 13 against South Dakota State in the Arena-Auditorium.
